Heeeeeyyyyyy!
So it looks like I'm not super at blogging steadily. There's more on Australia but I'm going to write about my two days in Bangkok while it's still fresh.
Yeah, so I arrived in Bangkok with 20% battery on my phone (that was a long plane ride as I had my phone off and just did art silently) and no idea how one gets around safely. I wish I had charged my phone, maybe did some research into getting data upon arrival or...whatever. In my usual optimistic way I figured I would figure things out. Which I did. I spotted a a red-headed man coming off my flight who looked roughly my age and asked if he had been there before. Once I discovered this was his fourth time to Bangkok I asked if he would share a cab with me to Khoasan road to make sure I got to my hotel safely. This was actually a super plan as he not only paid for the cab ride, but he managed to get a room at the hotel I was staying at and we both had company that evening for getting some beers, dinner, and foot massages. He even put up with my shopping at the market stalls- the clothes are very cute!
Another great thing about this trip to Bangkok is that a friend of mine from art class in high school was in Bangkok the same time with his girlfriend! We met up and tuktuk-ed (I'm not sure that's a word, but it going to be now) around to the various temples. Our tuktuk driver was awesome. His name is Noi and he was super fun to rip around with all day and the next.
Just....so much was going on. Here are pics!

I'm not sure why but Cathay upgraded me to Business class for my flight to Colombo. It was delightful except for the pilot saying we were going to flying through a monsoon and we should pay extra attention to the flight safety demonstration. Eek!
