A Wednesday in New Farm: good eats and cool art

Meghan's friend Kat has Wednesdays off. The two of them often hit up a cool new cafe but with Meghan gone vacationing in Laos with Alex I stood in and let Kat bring me to a cool brunch spot. We went to a new place in the New Farm neighbourhood called Cafe Loco. The menu was very on trend, with lots of paleo and gluten free options.  Kat agreed to go splitsies on a couple of things we were both eye balling so we could both eat more things.  I suspect Kat is a bit of a Chai latte aficionado as she was very excited about them having Prana Chai and informed me I might never be able to go back to the syrup kind after. So Chai lattes (coconut milk for me), ricotta pancakes, and "mushrooms" were ordered.

Kat then took me to the Brisbane Powerhouse, a graffiti filled former industrial power house that's now a theatre and exhibit space surrounded by a lovely park and rather pricey looking neighbourhood.

It started off as a very nice and sunny day!

Eeeeep don't rain on me!  I managed to make it back to the Powerhouse in time and drink coffee until it cleared up again.

Fabulous homes everywhere.

Of course I took some photos of the pretty foliage in the area, because I like to do that.
