I made it to Brisbane in time to celebrate my wonderful friend's birthday, Meghan of Jaunt and Flaunt (jauntandflaunt.com)!
Meghan picked me up from my friend Tom's house where I was crashing as my first stop in Brisbane. Brisbane is a very twisty town, very hard to get around even for those who live there, so I was grateful for the ride!
We ventured over to the Paddington neighbourhood, known to be very pretty and hip, and had lunch at Shouk Cafe (shoukcafe.com/au). Perched on the top of a hill it was a gorgeous view. Their food is awesome too! We had almond milk Chai latte's all around (a bit too syrupy though) and I had the shakshuka, Meghan the challah french toast, and Kat the lamb flat bread. We also befriended one of the servers...as in he gave me his number very nicely. Blond, tall, freckly, man-bunned, tattooed- just my type.
After lunch Meghan showed me around the area and we ducked into some super cute shops, like Thousand Island Dressing (thousandislanddressing.com)- it has SUCH cute accesories, and one that I would love to collaborate with, Showroom (show-room.com/au). Showroom is a shop that displays interesting wares by web-based designers.
